Not only does Ronstan clothing use the most technological advanced fabrics, it conforms to Ronstan's stringent standards for function and reliability. Both elements have been fused together in a new logo, R-Tech, and rating system. R-Tech gear is rated from R2-R5 with R5 being the most advanced, or most breathable, waterproof and windproof of the fabrics.
New to the range in 2005 are the breathable lightweight inshore pants, heavy duty inshore gear, coastal wet weather gear, and two new fleeces.
Rated R-Tech 2, the Ronstan lightweight inshore pants represent the perfect entry level to top quality sailing gear. They are ideally suited to leisure/day sailing or short course racing in milder climates.
Heavy duty inshore gear is top of the range with R-Tech 5 rating. Highly durable, breathable, waterproof and windproof, this gear is a step up from the lightweight inshore gear, but still looks good enough for après sail activities.
Top of the range is Ronstan Coastal gear. Rated R-Tech 5, these pants and jackets (in Grey or Red) have inbuilt safety elements and practical features required for open water sailing and more rugged racing conditions.
Other additions include the tried-and-tested Ronstan Fleece in Grey and the SP (Superior Protection) Fleece, which is waterproof, windproof and breathable.
