The voyage of Point Loma Outfitting starts in the water 40+ years ago. For co-founder Tom Carruthers, it was in the harsh Great Lakes around Michigan – where he first sailed, then raced, then won. Along the way, he plied his boating skills intensely in larger and larger vessels, races and bodies of water – Mackinacs (16 times), SORCs, MORCs, Canada’s Cups and America’s Cups.
Point Loma Outfitting Outlet was started to provide customers savings on new outdoor clothing and sailing gear that may only be last seasons colors or styles. Since manufactures change colors and styles seasonally we change our inventory seasonally.
